[Launch of Electronic Bank Confirmation Platform]

MIA in cooperation with Extol Corporation Sdn. Bhd., an ICT security company recently launched the Industry-wide Electronic Bank Confirmation (EBC) Platform. This platform can be used to replace the manual paper-based bank confirmation which is time-consuming and slow. EBC platform can provide a secure electronic confirmation process which eases the auditors, audit clients and banks. To date, 350 audit firms and 7 banks have signed up to the platform.
